Groovystuff By Design: Connecting Education with Industry Challenge

The basic idea of the Groovystuff: By Design Challenge and end goal for the project is to design a light fixture for the company that sells well enough at the industry trade events. Students design their light fixtures such that it utilizes or reconfigures the reclaimed material that exemplifies GROOVYSTUFFs product line. The incorporation of other sustainably harvested woods such as plantation Teak and ChumCha (Asian Mahogany) is encouraged. Their designs address two vertical markets in the rustic category, modern rustic and traditional rustic. The first place prize for popular vote at Highpoint market is a $250 prize.
